How can one provide support to individuals experiencing abuse in public or during challenging situations?
Did you know that individuals who have received bystander training are 87% more likely to intervene in such situations? Imagine witnessing someone being mistreated in public - you would likely want to assist, but may not know how. Enter ALLY, offering on-the-spot training for immediate impact.
Currently, there are 327 applications addressing gender-based violence, with 47% featuring an 'SOS' button as their primary function. Surprisingly, none of these focus on preparing bystanders, the first responders when intervention is crucial. This is where ALLY steps in; it is the first app to empower bystanders and mobilize them as a supportive network for victims of abuse. But the vision extends beyond this. Our goal is to transform local store employees into allies as well, thereby encouraging these spaces to be safe and welcoming.
In essence, ALLY transforms local stores into havens of safety and regular bystanders into proactive Allies, ensuring prompt assistance is available when needed.
